View Survey Responses & Reporting

Survey Responses is where you review post-event survey results for an event. The page groups questions by scope and shows response summaries once attendees have submitted feedback.

In SidePitch, survey questions can be scoped as:

  • Common (general event feedback): answered once per attendee
  • Startup (per presenting startup): answered per startup for each attendee (shown grouped under each startup)

Where to find Survey Responses

Open an event and navigate to Survey Responses (label may vary by navigation). From the responses page, you can also use:

  • Back to Event to return to the event workspace
  • Attendance to view attendance records (if available)

Page structure (how results are organized)

1) Common questions (general event feedback)

At the top, you’ll see the “common” questions listed (e.g., Question 1–6). These questions represent feedback about the event overall.

2) Startup questions (per presenting startup)

If the event includes presenting startups and the template includes startup-scoped questions, results appear grouped under each startup.
Each startup section contains the startup-scoped questions for that specific startup.

How results are displayed (based on template configuration)

Survey Templates define how results are summarized. You may see one of the following patterns per question:

  • Individual (one row per response)
Shows each attendee’s response as a separate entry. Best for short/long text feedback.
  • Average (for ratings)
Aggregates rating questions into an average score (and may include counts, depending on configuration).
  • Summary (totals + breakdown)
Aggregates responses into totals and a distribution by option. Best for single choice, multiple choice, and Yes/No questions.

The “Results display” selection is configured in Event Survey Templates when building the survey.

Suggested workflow (reviewing results after an event)

  1. Open Survey Responses for the event.
  2. Review Common questions first to understand overall attendee sentiment.
  3. If your event has startups, review each Startup section to compare startup-specific interest and feedback.
  4. Use Attendance to cross-check who attended and whether responses are expected.
